Biography
Dr. Trevor Gill hails from Vancouver, Canada and attended Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. He received his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Gill completed his residency in Scranton, PA as part of the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education. He worked in a variety of hospitals within the Geisinger Health System and Commonwealth Health System. He pursued additional training in management of chemical dependency and received his X-waiver for prescribing Suboxone in the setting of opioid use disorder.
Board certified in Internal medicine, Dr. Gill divides his time between caring for inpatients at Mather Hospital, in Port Jefferson, and his outpatient practice in Port Jefferson Station.
As a physician, Dr. Gill has taken his passion for biology, combined with his devotion to working with people, to improve the health of his patients. There is an added reward when caring for a patient in the hospital, managing their transition home and continuing their care as an outpatient.
Dr. Gill has recently married and splits his time between his home in New York City, and on Long Island. He enjoys hiking – when the weather is nice, and is a foodie – enjoying the experience of trying new restaurants.
