Biography
Dr. Michael Petersen, MD is a founding partner of Vascular Associates along with Kara Kvilekval, MD.
Dr. Petersen is board certified in vascular surgery, general surgery, and is a certified wound care specialist. Dr. Petersen serves as an active member of the American Medical Association, Fellow of American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), Society for Vascular Surgery (s.v.s.), Eastern Vascular Society (E.V.S.), Wound Healing Society (W.H.S.), Medical Society of the State of New York, Association for Academic Surgery, Suffolk County Medical Society. He also serves as medical director of the John T. Mather Wound Care Center.
