Biography
Dr. Bornstein is from New York City. He attended Tufts University School of Engineering, in Massachusetts, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. He earned his MD and MBA at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, and his Colon and Rectal surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, in New York.
Dr. Bornstein was drawn to medicine due to a strong desire to help others and make a meaningful impact on their health outcomes. The discipline of surgery, in particular, offered an intellectually and socially rewarding experience to be able to spend considerable time solving one person’s problem at a time. “I hope to empower them to make the best health decisions that honor and support their medical and spiritual needs.”
In addition to Dr. Bornstein enjoying playing music on the guitar and piano, he also makes stained glass art. He is recently married (2022) and they enjoyed their wedding in New Orleans.
