Biography
Georgia Kulina, MD is board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. Her areas of interest include Type 2 diabetes, thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, thyroid disease in pregnancy, parathyroid disorders, adrenal disease, osteoporosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She is trained to perform in-office ultrasound guided fine needle aspirations. Dr. Kulina is also a published researcher in the field of diabetes.
Dr. Kulina grew up in Miller Place, NY and completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Endocrinology Fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She was also an Attending Physician in the Internal Medicine residency clinic, where she directed a program to improve the management of patients with type 2 diabetes. She believes in a team-based, comprehensive approach to patient care, and enjoys teaching residents and being involved in research. She is an active member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and American Diabetes Association.
When Dr. Kulina is not working she enjoys spending time with her family.
