Biography

Dr. Shenouda is a specialist in Clinical Cardiology, which encompasses diagnosing and medically treating heart disease, as well as preventing further heart related events. He also diagnoses and manages patients with congenital heart conditions, high blood pressure and abnormal heart rhythms.

Dr. Shenouda concentrates on different techniques to diagnose and treat heart patients, including the use of electrocardiograms or ECG and cardiac telemetry monitoring which record heart beats and abnormal rhythms. The echocardiography is also an excellent way of visualizing heart function, valve function, and overall size and structure of the heart.

Dr. Shenouda focusses on interpreting stress tests, especially nuclear perfusion stress tests, which helps identify the presence and extent of heart disease. His testing and procedures help make an accurate diagnosis and create a treatment plan.

Dr. Shenouda is able to help his patients lower their risk of heart disease and help those with heart disease live longer and more comfortably. He emphasizes ways patients can reduce their risk of heart disease and/or heart related events through a personalized template of education, lifestyle modifications, and when necessary the proper medications. Treatment of hypertension, cholesterol disorders, and help with quitting smoking is essential to lowering the risk of heart disease.

Dr. Shenouda works closely with cardiovascular surgeons, should surgery be the best treatment option.
