Harbor View Medical Services, PC is pleased to welcome new faculty member Lorenzo Zanotti, MD to their Mather Primary Care practice in Port Jefferson, NY.
Dr. Zanotti attended Boston University - Sargent College of Allied Health Professions where he received his Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and Neuroanatomy. He graduated with distinction, magna cum laude and accepted the position as Chief Teaching Assistant for the universities’ Neuroanatomy course.
He continued on to St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies, where he received his medical degree. Dr. Zanotti completed his residency programs in General Surgery at Northwell Health and Internal Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine in Mt. Sinai.
Dr. Zanotti moved to NY University Langone Medical Center, as Research Assistant and led the clinical research laboratory. The research consisted of vascular surgery, treatment of chronic limb ischemia (arterial obstruction that severely reduce blood flow to the tissues) and molecular biology of DNA. He is an active member of several affiliations, including, American College of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, American College of Physicians, and past treasurer of the American Red Cross Association.
Dr. Zanotti is an emerging Internal Medicine physician with experience in diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from diseases such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, strokes and COPD. He brings to Harbor View, an excellent reputation for patient service and superior clinical skills. Dr. Zanotti is fluent in Italian.
